Students gathered at the Social Lodge on March 3 to learn a series of simple, fun folk dances from around the world in honor of Carnival.
-The Italian House provided bruschetta and Sofia Tripoli taught a traditional dance from Puglia called the Pizzica.
-Lucas Montiel Chaparro, a freshman dance major from Paraguay taught a simple salsa routine to the classic, Mambo No. 5, and the Spanish House contributed Mexican food from the Fiesta Grill.
-Helen Stapleton, taught students to dance the Cajun Waltz to Jole Blon. The French House contributed genuine King Cake (galette du roi) sent from Gambino's in New Orleans.
