How to participate:
Learning Goals: Preparing for a song is a great opportunity to learn and internalize an authentic text.

1. Search the following sites for a song you want to sing.  You are not to sing along with the singer, but rather to sing to an instrumental track.  The word, karaoke, is Japanese for empty orchestra.
Stingray Karaoke (Chinese, French, German, Greek, Italian, Spanish)
Click on "Songs" and then filter your search by language.
Youtube (all languages)
Please send the link to an instrumental version of the song, ideally with written lyric.
Karaoke Version (French, German, Italian, Spanish)
Choose your language on the left-hand menu after clicking on "Advanced Search."

2. Once you've found your song, send the link or name of the song to Helen Stapleton hfstaple@sewanee.edu.  Only the first 25 acts will be included, and it is first come, first served.

3. Begin practicing your song well before the event by first singing along with the artist and then trying it by yourself.

4. Perform you song on the evening of Wednesday, October 25! You will receive an estimated time of when your act will be by October 23.
