The University supports Timeline JS for creating interactive digital timelines. Below you will find information about what Timeline JS is, resources for creating a JS timeline, and instructions on embedding it in a WordPress site. 

What is Timeline Js?

Timeline JS is a free tool that allows users to work alone or in a group to create interactive timelines featuring text, images, and videos.

Create a Timeline 
  1. Go to TimelineJS website 
  2. Click on "Make a Timeline"
  3. Follow the instructions under "Make a Timeline" on the Timeline JS website
embed on a Wordpress Site 
  1. Follow steps 2-4 on "Make A Timeline" on the Timeline JS website
  2. Login to your WordPress website 
  3. Navigate to the page on the website you want to add your timeline to 
  4. Click on the blue plus in the upper left hand corner 
  5. Scroll down an until your see "Custom HTML" and select it
  6. Past the code you copied into the text box that says "Write HTML"  
  7. Click "Save"
