Story Maps are interactive maps that allow you to highlight the spatial aspects of your research with multimedia elements including videos, images, and links. The University supports two different story map software Story Map JS and ArcGIS StoryMaps.
StoryMapJS
Story Map JS is a free tool that allows users to highlight the spatial aspects of a narrative by spotlighting relevant location on a map and conveying information through text, videos, and images. Maps created through Story Map JS can be embedded into a WordPress site.
ArcGIS StoryMaps
As a part of the university's ArcGIS subscription university faculty, students, and staff have access to the ArcGIS Story Map feature. ArcGIS StoryMap allows users to create a web page that combines maps, text, 3D scenes, photos, videos, audio, and graphics to create a compelling way to convey research.
