Tap into your inner Indiana Jones! We love having volunteers join us. All you need is a bit of passion for history or have always wanted to try their hand at archaeology. This is PB Martin in the photo, our first official volunteer, with Mary Madden the Archaeology Voluntter Coordinator. PB grew up in the Sewanee area, is spending the summer in Winchester and is a teacher in Savannah GA during the school year. The help and enthusism of our volunteers is invaluable.
We invite you to join the Rebel’s Rest excavation and/or artifact processing teams at anytime in the Summer or Fall. Volunteers must be at least 16 yrs old, we ask that you are able to commit to at least a full day or a few half days. We work M-F 7-4pm during the summer. This will probably shift a bit when the school year begins. In the rain we all work in the lab.
