Pathway Handouts

Pathway handouts are a great resource for knowing which courses are required for your pre-health path. These handouts include most required courses needed for the particular program, the courses that satisfy those requirements at Sewanee and the semester they are typically offered at Sewanee. Select your pre-health path below to pull up your pathway handout. Printed versions of these handouts are also available outside of the OMHP office in Spencer Hall.

Pre-Med Online Schedule Builder

The schedule builder is designed for pre-med students to be able to plan out their courses for the next 4 years at Sewanee to help them stay on track to achieve their goals. Click the link below to access the schedule builder!

Advising

Pre-Med Orientation 2.0

All first year pre-med students are encouraged to attend orientation 2.0 for guidance on pre-health course selection and career preparation. This is a great opportunity to communicate with pre-health advisors and peers for help with course registration, mapping out your pre-health journey, learning about internships and more. Orientation 2.0 is held in the fall before course registration begins. Date, time and location will be sent out via email from the OMHP office, posted on OMHP social media sites and the screens in Spencer Hall.

Group Advising

Group advising for each pre-health pathway is offered during the fall semester before course registration. During group advising you will have the opportunity to meet with a pre-health advisor, pre-health peer-advisors and your peers who are on the same path as you. This is a great resource for students who have questions about which courses to take and when, what internships they should explore, how application processes work and more. During this time students can gain advice from the peer-advisors who have first-hand experience in these areas. Date, time and location will be sent out via email from the OMHP office, posted on all OMHP social media sites and advertised on the screens in Spencer Hall. Make sure you are signed up for your pre-health pathway email list to receive all information and opportunities related specifically to your pre-health field!
