What did you do directly after graduation? Dual Degree Engineering Program at Washington University in St. Louis (Chemical Eng)
How did your education at Sewanee prepare you for your career? My well-rounded education at Sewanee prepared me for applying problem-solving skills in areas that I am new to/not comfortable in to be successful.
What advice would you give to prospective or current students who are interested in pursuing a chemistry major at Sewanee? If majoring in Chemistry is something you are interested in, don't be afraid of taking maths and sciences at the same time early on.
What advice would you give to current chemistry majors at Sewanee? Take advantage of the opportunities that are only available at liberal arts institutions. That religion/Appalachian studies/music class will also help you be successful in the future.
What was your favorite major course? Why? Analytical Chemistry - I loved learning the specifics of the real-life applications of Chemistry
What is your favorite memory from your time at Sewanee? Passing my comprehensive exams the same day as my Senior Day Swim Meet. I was able to see my Sewanee career coming to a close, in a beautiful way.
