Dear Colleagues,

I write to you to follow up on my email of Jan. 25 related to weather conditions and class instruction on Jan. 26.

Based on assessments of local roads and sidewalks by the Sewanee Police Department and Facilities Management, the administrators who comprise the Emergency Management Executive Team have determined that the University will have classes on Zoom on Monday, Jan. 26.

With temperatures remaining very cold today, we will continue to monitor streets and sidewalks for icy conditions. The Sewanee Police Department (SPD) and Provost will notify the University community by the end of the day on Jan. 26 for plans for instruction on Tuesday, Jan. 27.

Streets and sidewalks have patches of ice, so please exercise extreme caution when traveling to and across campus.

Thank you for your continued attention and assistance with this matter.

Sincerely,
Scott Wilson
