The University Choir is currently traveling through Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island as part of its 2026 Canadian summer tour, continuing the ensemble’s longstanding tradition of international performance and sacred music ministry.
Under the direction of University Organist and Choirmaster Dr. Geoffrey Harris Ward, the 70-member ensemble has presented performances in Halifax and Amherst, with additional appearances continuing through May 31. The tour encompasses concerts, liturgical services, and public performances that underscore the Choir’s integral role in the artistic, intellectual, and spiritual life of the University.
The tour will conclude this weekend at the Cathedral Church of All Saints in Halifax, where the Choir will sing for the 11 a.m. Eucharist and 4 p.m. Choral Evensong on Sunday, May 31. Both services will be available via livestream here.
Members of the Sewanee community can continue following the Choir’s travels and performances throughout the week on Facebook and Instagram.
