July 24, 2025
Dear Members of the Sewanee Community,
After a nationwide search, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Isabelle Puckette Love as chief financial officer and vice president for administration for the University. Isabelle will officially begin her role on Aug. 18, 2025.
A summa cum laude graduate of Princeton University, Isabelle brings a wealth of experience in finance, strategic planning, and nonprofit operations to the University. She began her career with the Princeton University Investment Company and later with Goldman Sachs in New York. For the past decade, she has served at the Metropolitan Opera—one of the most complex nonprofit arts organizations in the country—most recently as director of special projects and deputy budget manager. In that role, she oversaw the development and analysis of the Met’s $330 million-plus annual budget, worked closely with leadership on cost governance and labor negotiations, and played a key role in cross-departmental new revenue and growth initiatives.
Isabelle’s varied experience in the higher education and nonprofit sectors, as well as her profound love for Sewanee, make her especially well-suited for this important position. She holds an M.F.A. from the University's School of Letters and has long considered Sewanee her home, no matter where her life and career have taken her.
Please join me in welcoming Isabelle back to the Mountain. I look forward to the vision and leadership she will bring as we steward Sewanee’s mission and resources for generations to come.
Sincerely,
Rob Pearigen
Vice-Chancellor and President
