Game Break

Game Break is hosted each term and is a passive program designed to give all students a space to take a break and socialize with each other. Gaming is a common tool used in the disability community to help build community and increase social interaction. Game Break offers students the opportunity to play video games while learning about characters with disabilities, accessibility efforts in game development, and how games play a role in disability culture.

ADA Walk

The ADA Walk is a new program designed to help being awareness and conversation around the physical accessibility of the University of the South's campus. Individuals are invited to take the Sewanee tour using prompts to help them experience the impact of common temporary and permanent disabilities. The walk challenges those participating to understand how proper planning and accessible consideration can increase an individual's experience with Heat, Mind, and Place at Sewanee.

Individuals or groups interested in a walk can inquire by emailing ada@sewanee.edu
