Our vision is for every Sewanee student to discover their potential to achieve the extraordinary. We empower students to build their own success so they can be their best selves on campus and create lives of meaning and purpose.
We are here to accompany each student on this journey: from the moment they select Sewanee as their college, through academic advising and major selection, as they explore internships and summer opportunities, and then as they look toward career opportunities and job choices. We want to ensure that students succeed during their time on campus and in the years beyond.

Success coaches are here to help you throughout your Sewanee experience, from adjusting to college and meeting your academic goals to connecting to campus resources and creating plans for summers and after graduation. At your first meeting with a coach, you'll discuss your strengths and work together to create a plan for success. You can meet with your coach as you need it, or regularly throughout the semester.
Academic Support
Every learner finds their own way and might need different types of learning environments or support to manage the rigors and expectations of the classroom. Sewanee offers a range of academic resources that can help you in many ways.
Resources for Equity & Opportunity
We are working hard to ensure that all students have access to resources that can help them to thrive on campus and beyond. Learn about funding, our student supply closet, free academic technology resources, and so much more.

Career Readiness
Sewanee Career Readiness can help you discover your strengths, learn career skills through workshops and individual appointments to explore potential majors, careers, internships and jobs. You can gain real-world job experience through our strong internship program, tools for graduate or professional school applications and an extensive Sewanee network.
Integrated Advising
Integrated Advising supports you by offering holistic support and resources to help you make informed decisions as you create academic, co-curricular, extra-curricular, and career plans to achieve your goals.
Mentoring
Part of building your team at Sewanee is cultivating relationships of support. As you build your own team, think about who will be your mentors, whether that's another student, a faculty or staff member, or a Sewanee alum.
We currently have two mentorship programs, one for Sophomores, and one for First Generation students and we're planning to launch more soon. If you have interest in these programs—either as a student participant or mentor, or as an alumni mentor—please fill out the survey linked below.
