The Carlos Gallery in the Visual Art Building at the University of the South is pleased to present Fragments of Love and Pain, a solo art honors exhibition by Sunny Bowers, C'26.

Fragments of Love and Pain describes the sensory experience of being human as we relate and interact with our surroundings, other beings, and ourselves. This body of work begs people to understand their crucial role in creating a more loving and empathetic world, not only for oneself but also for others, through engaging in acts of empathy found within vulnerability.

The Carlos Gallery in the Visual Art Building at the University of the South is pleased to present half return, an exhibition by Savannah Brister, C’ 26.

Savannah Brister’s half return explores memory, absence, and the unknown through grief. She references smartphone and film images to recreate records of the past. Through small works and layered materials, the works engage space and create distance from the viewer, asking viewers to consider what is missing.
