Ritual, Revolution, and Rhythm explores how musical traditions are formed, challenged, and transformed across time and cultures. From the ceremonial brilliance of Strauss’s fanfare, through the elegant, expressive clarity of Mozart, and into the revolutionary force of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony, the program traces moments when tradition is honored, questioned, and reshaped. The evening concludes with the vibrant rhythms of Arturo Márquez’s Danzón No. 2, where the orchestra becomes a space of movement, color, and shared celebration. Each work reflects a different way music moves people, not only emotionally, but physically, socially, and culturally, revealing the orchestra as both a keeper of tradition and a living, evolving voice.
