Behind the Scenes—Sewanee Outing Program

Get outside and behind the scenes with the Sewanee Outing Program (SOP), one of the most active collegiate outdoor programs in the country. This unique event offers prospective students a hands-on glimpse into life on the Domain—Sewanee’s 13,000-acre backyard—and a chance to connect with current SOP leaders and future classmates.

You’ll start with a campus tour, then sit down for lunch with SOP student leaders who are excited to share stories, answer your questions, and talk about what it means to find adventure and belonging at Sewanee. In the afternoon, join the SOP for a classic weekday trip: canoeing at Lake Dimmick (weather permitting), hiking a section of the Perimeter Trail, or tackling the bouldering wall in case of inclement weather.
