Behind the Scenes—Theatre Sewanee

Sewanee’s Department of Theatre is preparing to open their spring production in the Proctor Hill Theatre at the Tennessee Williams Center (yes, named after that Tennessee Williams, the one who left his literary estate to Sewanee), and we want to invite you behind the scenes to attend the final dress rehearsal of Lindsey Ferrentino's Ugly Lies the Bone. We invite you to see how we are polishing the work, and offer you an opportunity to talk with the cast and faculty afterwards.

  • Who is invited?
High school students and their parents/guardians, theatre arts teachers, college counselors. Teachers and college counselors, bring a group if you like.
  • What will I do?
Dinner at McClurg Dining Hall, behind-the-scenes tour of Sewanee’s theatre arts facility, exclusive viewing of the final dress rehearsal of Sewanee’s upcoming performance of Ugly Lies the Bone and more.
  • When can I come?
    Wednesday, March 4, 2020
  • Where will we meet?
To get started, we will gather at the Office of Admission on University Avenue.
  • Why should I come?
You’re interested in theatre arts or Sewanee or both. (We’re really hoping it’s both.)
