The Title VI Coordinator serves the University of the South by assessing compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The Title VI Coordinator works with campus patterns and administrators to develop compliance plans for the domain. The Title VI Coordinator also facilitates consultations about initial grievances regarding non-compliance with the above-mentioned law.

Matt has an extensive background in the areas of Disability Services, Human Development and learning, Counseling, ASD support, and LGBT advocacy. Matt’s experiences includes the following positions;
- Adjunct Professor of Human Services
- Advisor to Delta Alpha Pi - Disability Honors Fraternity
- Disability Services Access Coordinator
- Higher Education Case Manager
- Director of Disability Service Office
- A leadership facilitator
- Masters trained in clinical mental counseling
- And as a private Neurodiversity Coach
Matt’s role is to promote accessibility across the University of the South by collaborating with the Senior Director of EEOT to set up policies and procedures and being an advocate for individuals with disabilities. Matt's role also includes educating the campus community and working with administrators to ensure accessibility is being considered at every opportunity.

Brian Evans
(Interim TITLE IX Coordinator)
Office of Human Resources

Brian supports a dedicated team of HR professionals; counsel and guidance on matters relevant to human resources strategy, policy development and application, governance and oversight. Influences the University’s compensation philosophy and structure and administers ADA accommodation processes for employees.
Leads University-wide equity and equal opportunity compliance; serves as interim Title IX Coordinator.
