The Sewanee Medieval Colloquium is an interdisciplinary gathering of scholars from across the field of medieval studies. It takes place each spring on the campus of the University of the South and features a uniquely collaborative format. Our panels encourage conversations between participants by included a respondent for each session and ample time for discussion, and each year has a theme that allows conversations to develop between panels during meals, coffee breaks, and casual conversations. We welcome papers from all disciplines and geographic areas, and pride ourselves on our welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
