Come watch David Lowery's new film and hear about how it adapts the late 14th century poem, Gawain and the Green Knight.

The Green Knight, starring Dev Patel and directed by David Lowery (writer and director of Ain't Them Bodies Saints and A Ghost Story), will screen October 22, 23, and 24 at 7:30 PM at Blackman Auditorium. The film is a stunning and risk-taking adaptation of the anonymous 14th century Arthurian poem, Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, one of the great works of late medieval literature. On Friday night, Dr. Irvin of the English Department will give a brief introduction; on Saturday night, Dr. Batkie, also of the English Department, will give a brief introduction; on Sunday, Dr. Irvin, Dr. Bruce (also of English), Dr. Thompson (Art History) and Medieval Studies major Alexis McKnight will lead a post-show discussion.
