Brian began his teaching and coaching career in 1998 at UMS-Wright Preparatory School in Mobile, AL.  After two years in Mobile, he moved back home to Charlotte and started teaching at his alma mater, Providence Day School, where he is now starting his 14th year on faculty. In addition to teaching world geography, Brian is the head Varsity Boy's Basketball coach, and was recently named the Charlotte Observer's CISAA Conference coach of the year. He has been active in the life of the school through chairing  the Middle School Honor Council, participating in SAIS reaccreditation committee and helping to design the school’s new Humanities building.  Brian is married to a 4th grade teacher, Allison Field.  The couple has two young children, Anna- age 5 and Charlie age-2.
