Blair Barrows

After growing up in Atlanta, GA, Blair came to Sewanee to study psychology and education. In her time at Sewanee, she enjoyed working with children in many local schools and also playing volleyball. For the 2012-2013 academic year, Blair won a Watson Fellowship. Her project, titled: "Playing to Learn and Learning to Play: An Exploration of Play Utilized in Education," allowed her to travel the world and investigate alternative styles of teaching and the benefits that free play offers to children. In the Fall of 2013, Blair began her M.Ed. degree in special education through Peabody College at Vanderbilt University.
