Professor of Computer Science, Director of Computer Science Program Woods Lab 130 / ext. 1814
Professor of Computer Science, Director of Computer Science Program
Professor Dale received a B.S., M.S.C.S. and Ph.D. from Texas A & M University in computer science. Her primary field of specialization is actualizing heuristic search algorithms for high configuration search spaces, with secondary fields in robotics and visualization.
Dale’s current research focuses on applying front end development to open source databases to effect better visualization and understanding of scientific data. Prior to joining the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science she worked as a senior software engineer for General Dynamics Corporation developing flight control software for the F-16 and YF-22where she held a U.S. Government security clearance for access to classified information.
Dale’s teaching interests include database design with web and mobile applications, open source mapping & environmental computing, and visualization and graphics.
