The University Wellness Center is a campus resource that offers integrated and holistic health care, comprehensive wellness outreach, and peer health education for students. We are composed of Counseling and Psychological Services, Student Accessibility Services, University Health Service, and Wellness Outreach.

All students at Sewanee are required to meet certain public health standards - for your protection, the protection of your classmates, and of the Sewanee campus community. These requirements are due before your arrival on campus. This page is designed to help you meet each of those health prerequisites in a timely manner and to answer some questions you might have. Please be aware that this information is for incoming undergraduate students only.

CAPS offers short-term based therapy and psychological services to undergraduate students at the University. It offers assessment and evaluation, short-term group and individual therapy, psychiatric services with medicine management, and crisis services.
University Health Services is here to keep you healthy while you focus on your studies at the University of the South. The UHS clinic provides primary medical care tailored to the unique needs of college students. Our healthcare providers are licensed certified Nurse Practitioners who will be responsible for managing health problems, writing prescriptions, and coordinating health care for their patients.

The mission of the University Wellness Center at Sewanee is to promote and enhance the health and well-being of Sewanee students, within an integrative healthcare model, by providing comprehensive and excellent medical services, behavioral health and counseling services, and wellness promotion to the student body. The Wellness Center Office is open from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and is closed during the noon hour for lunch.
