Over the years, students have grown to see the Ayres Multicultural Center (MCC) as a setting where members of the community from different backgrounds and experiences can come together for quality programming. Faculty members attend many scheduled events, which contributes to that atmosphere. For students looking for a break from their studies or a change of pace from academic life, the MCC is a good option for alternate entertainment.

Ayres is home to two students selected by the MCC each year. Housing arrangements consist of two adjoining single rooms, and a single full bathroom.

The large common room is used as a living room as well as a gathering space for Center events and contains furniture as well as cable TV and a DVD player. The MCC also contains a kitchen with an oven, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, and limited cooking supplies.
